On March 10th, my son, Christopher, tragically died. Living outside of Vermont, and being unfamiliar with St. Albans, I had to make an immediate decision and choose a funeral home that would care for the important steps following my shocking loss. I didn’t know how to find a funeral director who understood the gravity of this loss - and what I found is a man who possesses the experience and deep compassion to guide me through that process, when I was totally unprepared. Jeff Levesque, from the first phone call through the viewing and cremation of my son, was a steady, humble light in that dark tunnel of grief. Jeff truly lives the “On Our Shoulders” tradition (which is a remarkable story I later read on his website), in extending strong, deep compassion. This is the way he treated my son: speaking to me demonstrated his dignity, and this gave me extraordinary comfort; and the way he greeted Chris’ friends helped them surrender, in order to bring their respect and love for the deceased. As Franklin County’s preferred cremationist, Jeff personally handled Christopher’s cremation; his personal attention to my son brought additional comfort to my grieving. Jeff has continued to provide counsel to me. Now, as I navigate the myriad responsibilities that follow, I thank this fine Funeral Home for the way it handled all the delicate tasks of saying goodbye to my beloved Son. Thank you, Jeff, for fulfilling your calling with such empathy, intelligence and care.

I can not say enough amazing things about this place. When my best friend passed away, Jeff and Victor and all the staff was so caring and compassionate. That made that very difficult time just that much easier. They treat you like family and think of every detail that is needed to help you and your family through your hard time. Over the years our family have lost various loved ones. We have dealt with several funeral homes and directors, however, none as understanding, knowledgeable, or personable as Jeff Levesque. Jeff walked us through everything, made helpful suggestions which eased our minds at a time when our minds were not fully operational. Losing a loved one is hard, but Jeff's professionalism allowed us to create a beautiful good-bye for Nancy. He was sensitive to our grief, along with being supportive in a very difficult time.
