Obituary for Jennifer Lynn Tomlinson

Miss Jennifer Lynn Tomlinson, age 44, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born in Burlington, December 21, 1973, daughter of the late Richard Wayne Tomlinson, Sr., and Sandra Jean (Lattrell) Tomlinson. Jennifer graduated from high school in 1991 and then went on to dedicate her entire professional and personal life to caring for others. She gave over 20 years of love to many families and children during her work with Ascension Childcare of South Burlington. She took great pride in her job, and deeply loved all of the children entrusted in her care. When she wasn’t working, Jennifer loved to cook for her family. She spent a lot of time planning her families favorite meals and always made sure all of her kids got their favorite pick once a week, and often took special requests from her sister. She also enjoyed watching old TV sitcoms, movies and reading. However, the most enjoyable and important role to her was being a Grammie. She loved, over anything else, to spend time with her grandson, whom she lovingly called “Beasty”, and having the opportunity to meet and snuggle her newest granddaughter Kinsley Jean. Equally important to her were the granddaughters Brooklyn and Kaydence that entered her life as a toddler and preschooler whom lovingly called her Jenn Jenn.

Jennifer is survived by her children Cody Tomlinson-Willey and his fiancé Alicia Hope, Dustin Tomlinson-Willey, and Bailey Tomlinson all of Milton, her sister Meredith Jean Tomlinson and her companion Mary Ellen Fleiter of Colchester, her fiancé Christopher Laberge of Milton, her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kaydence, Cody, Jr., and Kinsley all of Milton, her nieces Shea and Juliana of Colchester, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Richard Wayne Tomlinson, Sr., Sandra Jean (Latrell) Tomlinson, and her brother Richard Tomlinson, Jr..

A memorial will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, where online condolences and memories may be shared with her family and friends at:
