Obituary for Lauren Priebe

Lauren C. Priebe, age 70, passed away unexpectedly at her home July 14, 2019. She was born in Walla Walla, WA, August 15, 1948, daughter of the late Leslie and Louise Eileen (O’Hearn) Priebe. She loved an adventure, from riding through the White Mountains on her horse Baby to weekends away with Liz. She was always in good spirits and had a smile for everyone. Laurie worked for many years as a beautician working at Charmed Beauty Salon in Portsmouth, NH for many years, and more recently for herself. Many of her clients became life-long friends. Laurie had a way of making people feel loved and accepted. Laurie was a kid at heart and was a push over for cute kids. She loved her family fiercely, especially her grandson AJ.

Laurie only saw the beauty in the world and always wanted everyone to be happy. She liked to volunteer and attend her church. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, rubber stamping and card making. Laurie collected an extensive stamp collection that she used to make cards and gifts for friends and family.

Laurie is survived by her daughter Hadley Priebe and her husband Alan Shannon of Swanton, a grandson Alan “AJ” Priebe-Carter of Swanton, a brother Henry Priebe and his wife Susan of Oxford, ME, and a sister Christine Yahner-Divadkar of Wallingford, CT.

A special thank you to all of her caregivers including those in Dr. Sanders Oncology office and the Bayada PT Team.
